Question is will this be the best price we see on Germany at +285 (little value lost from +300 open). I think so and just put it in. The letdown for Spain could come in quarters and then the bottom falls out on Germany value.

everyone was expecting germany to win the world cup, when they were drawn vs spain , people were thinking germany will dominate the game and advance. What I saw there was the whole germany team defending like crazy for 90 minutes, they barely made a couple of shots on casillas's goal. I think Spain will win it if they keep scoring goals like they did so far, without any problem.

I think Germany will win. I liked them pre tournament but don't see much value in +300 when it only takes one flukey goal of referring decision in the knock out stages to send them home. You will probably get much better value by taking their to qualify (not ML) lines in each of the knockout stages.

The value of betting to advance each game is comparable assuming Spain and Germany both reach Final. Say quarters and semis are -300 each to advance and then +120 vs Spain in the Final. Parlay that and its +291

If Germany loses before, you lose a -300 type bet. If Spain loses before, Germany will be a big fav in the Final rather than a small dog

I don't think Germany will be -300 to qualify in the semi final. Clearly depends on why they play but it's likely to be someone good. More like -170 at a guess.
