Japan has beat up on crap teams so far in this stage of qualifications. Taking them at the PK sounds good, but I wouldn't be shocked if the Aussies mustered a draw.

It's soccer. One stupid pass at the back of the defence or one bad bounce off a defender, and the ball is in the net ... underdog gets a draw when it has no business earning a point.

At least in this case, the "how in the F did they draw" result would only be a push. I might take a shot at this if the weather looks poor where they're playing tennis.

Weather is pretty nice in Brisbane. Some light drizzle around but nothing crazy.

Japan are without doubt the stronger side, but Australia do have a height advantage over the Blue Samurai. Also Japan have no real need to go out and prove anything tonight so might not be going all out in this one. The odds are a bit concerning as you would expect Japan to be the clear favourite. I think I'll stay off and just cheer my Aussie boys on.
