The one game I thought would the most dull (Poland vs Greece) turned out to be the best game of the tournament and the two games I thought would be great turned out to be dull yesterday and what a disappointment Holland was. I really thought about taking a punt on Holland to win this whole thing this year. I have a feeling we are in store for two low scoring games today as well but we will see. I am very busy this morning and watching tennis so very short write ups.
Italy Spain under 2.5 -180 risk 1.8
Spain -125 risk 3.75
Total number of yellow cards u4 -123 risk 1.23
Italy is a team that everyone associates with strong with defense and anyone remembers the 2010 world cup will know how frustrating this team can be for opposing offenses and strikers. Even with missing players, this defense has played together with Juventus and should frustrate Spain here. Italy coming out in a 3-5-2, I have been looking at stats and Italy had given up just 2 goals in qualifying but they havent looked good recently and this team comes in with alot of baggage. I dont see how Italy can expect Balotelli to carry them though, and I dont see anyone here on Italy that can challenge the names Spain will put out there.
Far too much strength here on Spain even without Villa. Alonso, Torres, Silva, Xavi, and Iniesta, the Spaniards will miss Silva but they are vastly more talented than this Italy squad.
I see a Spain 1-0 or 2-0 victory here. Italys defense and formation may frustrate Spain but Spain will dominate possession and there is nothing I have seen from this Italy squad to make me think they have much of a chance here but I thought the same thing with Denmark facing Holland so we will see. This a vastly more talented spanish squad but Italys defense can really frustrate teams.
I have been looking at stats for Kassai this morning and checking out world referee, he is getting high praise for letting the game flow. Spain certainly has alot of flopping but looking at these numbers, I think its worth a punt on the under here for yellow cards based on the stats.
Ireland +.5 -125 risk 2.50
Ireland/Croatia u2 -118 risk 2.36
Ridiculous odd with the way Ireland has been playing. I love what Trapattoni has done with this team and should be a tough low scoring match.
