    Lampard out for England
Lampard is ruled out for Euro 2012. Without Lampard, Barry, and Rooney suspended for the first 2 matches, it looks like this Group belongs to France, who have shown excellent form recently. England may have more than it's fair share of troubles just advancing from the group stages.

Hey aznbluff, you going to do a writeup on Euro? Followed some of your stuff on IIHF, like your insight.

Lampard's injury may be a blessing in disguise, the talk has always been can Gerrard and Lampard work together dating back years and years, now Gerrard is the go to attacking player in the middle maybe they can find a way to work it to his strength.

England's tourney rest on their wingers - Theo, ox, ashley young and downing, if they can perform and stretch the game wide England can do very well.

I think whenever Gerrard and Lampard played together they each gave up part of the game to complement each other. Dont get me wrong I think the injury will be a big blow to England because you lose a starter with over 90 caps. But my thinking is a England team without one of Lampard or Gerrard will be more than finding a direct replacement in that spot, it gives them a chance to alter the tactics.

For the first time this year, Lampard was more a holding midfieldier with Chelsea.
