Disagree. This game is the one that is supposed to fire them up going into euro 2012. They are passing way to much and not creating enough opportunities. If they want to strike fear in teams such as spain, portugal etc, they need to work on cutting the lane and creating shots on net. The way this israel team has played with their guys back and providing all that space on the flank, it should be at least 3-0...Comment -
Read my response to original quote above. Are you a germany fan, because i dont know how you can say this is a good game. They arent polishing anything, they are all top class world players who know how to pass and do thd little things that matter in the game. What they dont know how to do is create ample goal scoring opportunities which will be needed to keep up with the likes of ronaldo etc. Obviously they will come out and say they dont care about scoring in this game but its their last matchup b4 euro12 and that is complete bs.Comment -
I'll lay it out for you:
They just conceded 5 against the Swiss. They are getting the heart of their defense back for this game (the Bayern Munich players minus Schweinsteiger) so they want to work everyone into the system and get everyone working well together. Their focus is solely on defense this game and maintaining good possession.
At the Euro's, their gameplan against Portugal is not going to be to score as many goals as they can to "keep up with Ronaldo" either. They will be looking to play well as a team and never let Ronaldo get into 1 on 1 situations. Their team depth will create enough chances on their own. They don't need to press for goals against Portugal. Ronaldo is not even close to being favored to score in that game. He's probably around +250 or +300 to score in that one.
Not everything in this game revolves around goals. And they wont "strike fear into Spain and Portugal" by massacring Israel 8-1. Those teams really, really, really don't give a shit what happens in this game.Comment -

Thanks for all the explanations and breaking down ur opinions but we will agree to disagree..the best thing aboit germany is their goalkeeper. I do not see them winning euro12 and will take those ronaldo to score odds any day. I see portugal pulling the upset in opening round.
