Tonight's game I think is very tricky, over/ under tough calls, Tigres is one of those teams that can score 1 goal and hold on to it to win the game. Santos have an explosive attack but they will be ok with any draw as they ended as leaders of the regular tourney...
I think Santos will wait for spaces for counter attack, Tigres is very solid in midfield and defense, we all know how El Tuca (Tigres couch) likes to play tight games!(this guy is a firm believer that defense wins titles)!

If I have to call this game I will say tigres ML and possible score 1-0, but is so tough not to give santos at least 1 goal....

Both teams have full squads.

My advise is Whatever you invest in this game, make sure is little enough to not feel the lost =).

Very interesting game tonight as Santos faces Tigres. As Cogiditopapa said above Tigres is a team that can get up early and hold the lead, Santos can score but their defense isn't too shabby either, much better at home than on the road. Tigres has only allowed 5 goals at home all year, now when these two meet there tends to be a lot of scoring more so than usual, so the over isn't a bad option but I think the price is way out of wack 2.5 ov -126! I'm going with Santos ML and AH, I just think the price is just not right here. Santos was the top of the table team here and has no business being +299.

I think the way Santos is playing today and the way Monterrey played yesterday, has all to do with the bullshit rule of mexican league, the goals as a visitors doesn't count, just the position on the table, Santos and Moterrey with better position so they may even lose today and win at home and tie the score, and they will advance.


I think they should stop mixing this tournament, if u r going to give importance to position on the table, then make the tournament without liguilla. First place on the table at the end of season will be champion.

And maybe make a 2nd tournament, like Copa del Rey or something like that, all the big ligues have a tournament where they eliminate each other in 2 leg games, where visitor goal counts.

That's an absolute great idea. The playoffs in Mexico are always anti climatic. Making the regular season like Europe would be awesome for Mexico.

I sort of get the reasoning behind it, it's to give importance to finishing higher on the table, but it ruins the playoffs, every year we complain about it. Latin had a great idea, make the regular season champion whoever finishes first and have a national knockout tournament.

In fact years ago Mexico had a long tournament, like in Europe, and had a cup.

But for some stupid reason they started this short tournaments with liguilla.

Also they say it's imposible cause there are teams that play CONCACAF CL or Libertadores, but I think is bullshit.
The main reason is that some Primera Division teams don't wanna risk players in a cup and that some stadiums of Segunda have not enough quiality to play in.

In any case I think they could do something. For example Argentina also plays short tournaments, without liguilla. And this year they started also a Cup tournament.


I think we well see again a Final Santos-Monterrey, in a single season Santos may take revenge of Tigres and of Monterrey, I'm really rooting for Santos!
