    Wednesday's [4/18] Ninja Plays
    [Champions League] Chelsea +1 [-125]
Chances figure to be precious few as usual for an opponent of Barcelona, so the pressure is on Chelsea to make the most of the few scoring chances they figure to get. Barcelona will dominate possession, we know this. Their goal of course is to score and carry that away goal or more back home to Camp Nou for the 2nd leg. For Chelsea, I don't think they'd be angry with a similar result to A.C. Milan's scoreless draw in their opening leg with Barca ... but I think they realize that to beat Barcelona, you have to score goals. I don't think they will forsake defense for taking too many chances, but they certainly will look to spring counter attacks when possible. Barcelona may well win, but I don't see a heavy defeat if that is the end result. I think the +1 yields at least a push.

    Anytime Goal Scorers
    Lampard +275
    Messi -140

You think we will see a game like those Barca v Inter games 2 years ago or so? Chelsea trying to just break the whole game down? I can't imagine this. They should realise they have a far worse defense then Inter at the time and AC Milan and can't really expect they can hold down Barca to 0 or max 1 away. In stead I hope they know they need nothing else but a win to have a change and will go full pull if it's draw at HT.

    Good luck tonight!

Yeah I tend to agree. I think any team playing a two legged affair with Barca that starts @ home has to know they cannot afford really to go scoreless if they have realistic hopes of winning overall. A lot will depend on how the match plays out early. Best laid plans can go to hell if Barcelona scores early.

Well, I think this might be a good play. I have this game set at 2-2 (hence the over that I am playing myself), but I just couldn't pull the trigger on betting against Barcelona right now even though they suck on the road lately.

Hope you cash this one EP!

Eh, for -125 I think there are safer bets in this game, no? If Barca score first, there is a very legitimate chance that it forces Chelsea to press up, causing Barca to get a second in the process. Then Chelsea find themselves in a 0-2 hole at home to one of the best possession teams of all time..

I don't think there are any "safe" plays, are there? Same as yesterday's match. You take your chances like usual.

Over bettors pretty unlucky with the Alexis Sanchez crossbar and the Iniesta post? C'mon, how do both of those stay out?

Wow, nice call indeed would have never thought, that Chelsea will be able to hold on to that score till the end.
