Wigan +1.5, +2 vs Arsenal

Wigan are in excellent form, coming off a win against Man United, getting extremely unlucky vs Chelsea to lose 2-1, and beating Liverpool. At best I think Arsenal will inch out a 1 goal win vs Wigan. Both are fighting for something in the table so it should be a tight game.

The odds are pretty sharp, but notice how Arsenal are 1.25 instead of 1.1 or worse.

I had the opposite thinking as you. I think Wigan is overvalued coming off the win against Man U. I think Arsenal knows what they are up against and they will overwhelm Wigan, 4-1

Wigan away form is bad. Arsenal home form is good. Wigan cannot take chances. Arsenal have best chance taker in EPL. Arsenal won las 5 home games. Wigan in good form, but Arsenal have just as much going for them in this one.

I think goals is a safer bet in this one. Over 3 goals for me. There is no way that even if the books expected arsenal to win they would be 1.1 or less, I don't think anyone this year in the Premiership has been under 1.1, price is about right IMO. If arsenal get an early goal it could be ugly for wigan, I think it will be a 3-1 arsenal type game. GL if you play it

1-1 at Norwich, Wigan covered.
1-2 win at Bolton, Wigan covered.
3-1 loss at Tott, Wigan did not cover.

So out of the last 5 they covered 4 times, and you call their away form bad?

I look less at Wigan's away form and more at how Arsenal perform against bottom half teams:

Arsenal beat Bolton 3-0 at Emirates, beat WBA 3-0 at home, Beat Wigan 4-0 away, beat Blackburn 7-1 at home, beat Aston Villa 3-0 at home and just beat Wolves 3-0 on the road.

Great call Johon; arsenal bettors got hit hard today. Was thinking Wigan looked better than they were valued but didn't have the confidence. I avoid betting lower half teams because of their unpredictability.

Thanks guys, couldn't watch the game but looks like wigan got some justice afterthat chelsea game. That was the biggest reason I liked this spot, nothing motivates athletes more than being pissed off
