In general I think you are right. But I also think that RLM can sometimes have a better edge than just looking at stats and knowing the teams. The brain functions in a strange way when making decisions, so I would say that looking at stats and knowing the teams doesn't give you enough edge in the long run. I think the best way to make money in sports betting is modelling with a mathematical approach (but as that is out of my league.)
