I think in Asia a lot of the league games are fixed by the actual clubs themselves, not so much for gambling but to survive the league and not get relegated. Someone told me the Chinese league is actually full of cash, the players and clubs get really good salaries mostly from endorsements and sponsorship, arguably one reason why they dont do well on the international stage is because of the lack of motivation, why work hard to play in japan or korea or europe when you can stay at home and get millions.Comment -
The Italian Serie A and Serie B are the WORST! There have been numerous scandals in the last 15 years and I am sure that it continues. Just performing a basic search for Italian football match fixing yields tons of news related results.Comment -

International world events are even more dirty than league games. Each Euro and World cup are fixed because of amount of money in the games, each game is playing at one time. Its not in regular season and everyone's focus is one game at a time.
Even the basketball bettors who never bet soccer and people who never bet before join betting in those events.Comment -

if they didn't fix matches, soccer wouldn't be as good as it is, maybe it wouldn't exist at all.
