Easy one from Europa League on Thursday
    hello everyone.
I usually capping basketball games, but when i feel confident of something i am here to share it.
Last time it was Andelecht-AEK (early fall).

    Now it is Udinese-PAOK.
PAOK isn't strong enough to be competitive against the Italians this time of the season. They have lost key members of its squad, like Contreras(centre back) and most of all, Vierinha(explosive winger), who was its best player.
PAOK will be patient at the defense and they will try to utilise Salpigidis counter attacking.
On the other hand Udinese records 2 wins and a draw at home at the Group Stage and it hasn't be impressive at all. They play just to take what they need.
This will happen again, as PAOK struggles lately.
Of course there are the previous successful results at London and Kazan, but those were more games of luck, i guess.

I agree here. In my opinion the odds for Udinese to win are surprisingly high, I would expect them 1.50 - 1.60. Of course you can never be sure but as tullamore says PAOK has lost key players, especially the two mentioned who were of the best in Greek League. So, I will follow tullamore in his pick, I feel on Thursday Udinese to win will pay less than 1.60

Udinese's best player, Di Natale,is out but at 1,83 it's still a value bet.

As a paok fan udinese "should" win at home but this is PAOK were anything is achievable esp in europe..Saying that 1.83 for the home team is Great value

Udinese have suffered a double blow ahead of Thursday's Europa League last 32 encounter against PAOK Salonika with midfielder Mauricio Isla and striker Antonio Di Natale out injured.
Both players got hurt during Saturday's 2-1 league loss to AC Milan.
Tests done today revealed Isla has ligament damage in his right knee, while Di Natale, who is Serie A's top scorer with 17 goals netted so far, has fractured a toe in his right foot.
The club has not confirmed how long the two players will be absent but they are likely to be sidelined for at least three weeks.

i read that asamoah is out too. big loss.

maybe u2.5 would be best, but the price isn't actually worth it. not even sure how motivated udinese are for this.

                    think i'll stay away.

We mostly fade PAOK here. Not backing Udinese.
And to add something to give you extra boost to follow me.
                        This is a revenge game.

10 or something like a decade past, Udinese was facing PAOK again.
                        First game at Italy 2-0.
Second game at Greece... 3-0 and PAOK through next stage.

They are motivated enough to take a win.

i'm not sure if anyone is fading udinese, just looking at the prices, with the injuries and wondering if its worth the risk at that price. udinese will most likely win (hence the price) but i wouldnt be shocked if paok got something from the game.

udinese home form is good this year, especially against the bottom half. againt the top half they've only played milan, juve & roma. 1-1-1. so yes, against weaker sides at home, i would favour udinese. but isla and di natale are huge losses, and it makes the game a bit risky. afaik di natale has scored over 50% of their goals this year. who is going to step in for him. flores? maybe. i think if di natale is out, they might be very reliant on set plays to score.

does anyone know how paok defend from corners/set pieces?

                            This is right.
the title of the thread "easy" is no longer accurate.

PAOK is undefeated playing at Europa League this season.
It's defensive line will be from right to left: Snauzner-Malezas-Cirillo-Stafylidis
Snauzner, the right back, is old and slow.
Malezas is a decent CB this year.
Cirillo is an Italian(many years in Greece though) who turns the ball over easy and acts brainless sometimes.
Stafylidis is the youngest one tonight at the squad if i am right. He has kind of potential, but nothing special.
10 days ago against Olympiacos's winger Mirallas, he was nowhere and had problems.

PAOK's has usually problems at set pieces in the air. Its goalkeeper also shows weakness at set pieces.
The thing is that at this meeting, PAOK might have midfield advantage, but i doubt if they will achieve to counter attack and score a goal.
I only need a goal from Udinese, i guess.

                            Let's see

Udinese had an early shot on the post.
That was the only clear chance it created.
Bad call for me. I still believe and it isn't only my opinion, that Udinese is better than PAOK.
Next week at Toympa, Thessaloniki, it will be a very interesting battle.

                                    Sorry for our loss.
