Whaddup my Ninjas. Let's slice and dice the bookies.
[Coppa Italia] AC Milan-Novara Over 3 [-115]
A big chance for Milan to bounce back from their derby loss to Inter over the weekend. They face bottom-standing Novara in the Coppa Italia. Still, backing Milan on the handicap might not be wise here as their dedication to this competition is somewhat questionable. What isn't is the defensive inability of Novara. They have given up at least two goals in seven of nine on the road in Serie-A this season and saw five goals in their Coppa match with Cesena. Milan has been in good scoring form at the San Siro outside of the Inter match, scoring at least two goals in eight of their last nine in all competitions there. Last season, their four Coppa matches all featured at least three goals. These two teams play again in Serie-A on the weekend, so expect some player rotation here, but still see goals here.
[Friendly] Bahrain +1 [-130]
Bahrain "hosts" Sweden in Qatar for a friendly match this morning. Seems more important to Bahrain as they prep for World Cup qualifying in February, while Sweden is simply building with a run of friendlies as they look ahead to the Euro Cup this summer. It marks the first matches for the Swedes since losing two friendlies in November to England and Denmark, while Bahrain have had their competitive juices flowing from the Pan Arab Games. Sweden certainly have the talent edge, but motivation is usually key here and I see it a shade higher for Bahrain. Sweden may win this one, but I think Bahrain's defensive organization could keep them within one goal at worst with a draw also looking a nice possibility perhaps.
