Question regarding the term "laying" a team
Lay Vitesse against FC Eindhoven @ 1.95

Does this mean we are betting on Vitesse or Eindhoven.

Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.

If you lay Vitesse against FC Eindhoven @1.95 it does mean that you bet against a win of Vitesse...

If the game ends in a draw or win of Eindhoven, you win your bet....if Vitesse wins, you lose it

All it means when they say you're laying a certain result is that you are betting that the result being layed will not occur. So If you lay Eindehoven then they can not win or you will lose your bet. If you lay the draw then the game can not end in a draw or you lose your bet. Laying a result is just another way of saying you're betting on it not to happen.
