Japan humiliated Tajikstan in Osaka, but this should be somewhat different. The pitch in Tajikstan is horrendous from all accounts. It should slow Japan's passing game. Japan simply wants the win to qualify. The home side will simply look to not be embarrassed as they were last month. Tajikstan has just one goal in five qualifying matches, while Japan have kept clean sheets in two of three. Expecting Japan to emerge with the win, but perhaps 2-0 or 3-0 or less depending on how chewed up the pitch is.Comment -

Watched the last 10-15 minutes. Lots of long balls in toward goal, but I didn't see but maybe one or two really solid scoring chances. Need an early goal by someone to open the match up and force one side to scramble. Still holding out hope. Last time they met all three goals were in the 2nd half and South Korea seems like they amp things up after the half. We'll see. Taking another stab. Profess to know very little about these two, but stats wise it would seem that both defenses are pretty porous and that both sides have enough quality to take advantage perhaps. Very important match for their group. Guatemala running away in 1st, but the other three squads - including these two - are all bunched up with a legit shot at 2nd. With Grenada playing Guatemala tonight, a clear winner in this one likely catapults into second with the two sides to meet again next Tuesday. Draw conceivably would be okay, but based on goal differential St.Vincent is several goals behind Belize ... so draws wouldn't cut it for them.
