Velez Sarsfield is about through to the QFs after beating Catolica 2-0 in the 1st leg on the road. As such, you'd expect them to take few chances with that lead in place. Catolica may be ready to throw in the towel as they have a league match to consider this weekend and could not break through at home. Siding with the under here in what I think might be a dull affair so long as the home side keep it clean.

Both teams still alive to advance after the Rapids failed to notch a win yesterday. If either team wins tonight, they advance with Santos Laguna out of this group. As such, expect a competitive match. Real Espana has yet to keep a clean sheet in five matches and have scored in each match. Metapan has one clean sheet against Santos Laguna at home. They have only failed to score once in five matches. Metapan has yielded nine goals in their last two matches in this competition.

Hondurans hosting the L.A. Galaxy in a must-win for the US side and a pride match only for the hosts. Galaxy start without Landon Donovan tonight. He could come on as a sub potentially, but is still nursing an injury. Without him, this team struggles to finish. Motagua has not had any success in this competition with losses in all five previous matches and only their last was by a single goal. So it would seem stupid to back them right? I'm banking on LA being a little tight in a hostile atmosphere with a win needed to advance to the KO stages. LA has not won on the road in two tries during the group stages. Even if they should sneak out a win, I think it's by an odd goal only and that could work for a half stakes win here. The pitch for this one also figures to be an issue as I haev read that it was water logged heavily by Hurricane Jova.
