What are you talking about? Italy was by far the best team that year and rightfully deserved to win the World Cup. They gave up all of 2 goals one of which was an own goal.

No one played better and it was a prime example of why when Serie A football is played at the highest level it is the best in the world.

I love the Flyers, but I will have to disagree with a fellow Philadelphian. EPL is the deepest and best league in the world, bar none. That said, I rarely watch EPL, and don't really like it, but you can't argue with fan bases and revenue. La Liga has the two giants, Serie A has three, Bundesliga has one, Ligue 1 is kind of boring, but the EPL has tonnes of teams week in and week out. And don't give me he Big 4 argument. And now I need a shower for backing EPL...
