guess it depends who is playing. Sometimes teams take a lead then just sit back and defend it and manage to hold out or just keep possession like Real Madrid have started doing recently - suddenly become 1-0 specialists. Some teams go a goal down and don't change their approach as they don't want to risk conceding again - so sometimes you'll get a situation where a team is winning and is happy to defend that lead and the opposition dont want to too many chances looking for a quick equaliser so can lead to a stalemate. On flipside you could get a game like Liverpool Everton last night, Liverpool took the lead and then Everton just went gung-ho looking for the equaliser and Liverpool just kept countering and scoring...game became ridiculously open and the tempo was rapid. Look at playing some second half overs in Liga de Honra. Most games will probably be under 2.5, a few look like they have potential for goals though...
- Covilha/Chaves games usually have a couple goals and majority tend to be scored in second half. And so far this season each side have scored 70% of their goals in second half period of games. Chaves have conceded 26 goals away from home this season (joint second highest along with two bottom clubs in league), and scored 15 (joint third highest).
- Benfica B beat Leixoes 5-1 at home earlier in season, Leixoes have scored 71% of their goals in second half of games this season, Benfica B 58.2%. At home Leixoes have scored 16, conceded 11, but only 2 of those 16 scored have been in first half of games, and only conceded 3 out of the 11 in 1st half. Benfica B meanwhile have scored 14 and conceded 14 on their travels, 6 of 14 scored in 1st half, and only 4 of 14 conceded in 1st half... so the trend clearly points towards their being more goals in second half in this game!
- Santa Clara/Sporting B will be one extreme or the other. I think it will either be a 0-0 1-0 either way type game, or a 3-2 either way, 3-3. They've met 3 times before, Sporting B beat them 2-1 at home earlier in season, and lost 3-1 at home last season, and won 2-0 away. Sporting B have conceded 23 goals on their travels, with 16 of them happening in second half of games, and scored 10 out of their 15 in second half.Comment -
