Football players PRAYING before or during a game. I've just seen Hernandez from United do it and I've seen him do it previously.

Ok, if there is a god, why the hell would he be concerned about your football game or any SPORTING event? Also, if he does assist you in anyway, then isn't he shunning the other side and isn't is technically cheating?

The practice just annoys the hell out of me.

How do you know they are not just praying for good health for the match? Pretty sure most guys who do this are not praying for a win or goals.

Chicharito has said that he prays before the game to thank god because years ago he had thought about quitting the game (I'm paraphrasing)

Hernandez annoys the hell out of me no matter what he does. Man has never scored outside the 18 yard box, prays before the games (do it in the changeroom or something it just seems like he's trying to get attention for it), and Chicharito nickname bullcrap, put your damn name on your jersey like everyone else not your nickname.

For example Chicharito comes from a family with no economic problems but in Mexico they're very very close to religion! Like in most of Latin America!

What does it say about religion? the links that you posted yourself, state that the poor turn to religion for 'emotional boost'. So tell me, what does it say about religion?
