Women refs don't understand the game. They're wrong with offside calls all the time, and this pk+red card+pk retake was just the icing on the cake. The move Martha made, flipping the ball over her opponent, didn't give her the right to the space behind the US player. US player was contending for the ball, and Martha drops herself while trying to get into that same space. The reality, for now, is that if women's soccer is bad, the refs are even worse. Absurd to have a world cup with consistently wrong offside calls that take away goals.
