Help! I need help understanding soccer lines.

So I was checking out soccer lines and I come across this:

America de Mexico (MEX-C) -½ -125
America de Mexico (MEX-C) -122 ML

My question is: Why would anyone take the -0.5 spread and pay more juice?

What am I missing? (I don't usually bet soccer)

You take the draw out of play ...so instead of three possible outcomes, you get two.

Ok...I was a little quick there...I can see what you mean. If you think that team will win straight up, the ML would be the better choice wouldn't it...

Thats what I would think, but I wonder if Im missing something.

there is actually no difference between ML and AHC -0.5. the money flows in different markets.
usually the lines should be the same, but if they differ, simply take the better valued one.

definitely no difference, many books do not even open lines for -0.5, when they have ML
