Again a ref controversy in a Barca game. I admit they play great but all the ref blunders in their favor are kinda ridiculous.

this match was not rigged.if you want rigged matches then watch italy serie b or greek 2nd division. the red card changed the game but van persie should have been sent off earlier .

Yes, there are rigs in lower leagues. Calciopoli was the last biggest fix that was unearthed. I would highly, highly doubt there is rigging at the highest level, and it hasn't been found out yet.

As for Øvrebø, he's still refereeing in the Norwegian League and we refereed in the WC. His bigger blunder was in the Fiorentina-Bayern game, after which he hasn't refereed, thankfully.

what did he do to warrant a straight red? And abidal who put his hand to van persie's throat not even got a yellow card. When arguarbly could warrant a straight red

It wasn't straight red it was double yellow. He was time wasting and got popped for it.

LB has his head way too far in other sports to know how dominant Barca are at home, taking Arsenal here was never profitable, but it was a brave attempt. So unless you posted a -1.5 Barca line you got no right to talk shit to him.

rigged or not Barca is by far the best team on the planet in Camp Nou.

ok i worded that wrong what i meant was, he was saying that van persie should have gotten a straight red instead of yellow for his slap on alves, no way in hell! ive seen straight red for hand to throat before re abidal. Really the ref should have used his common sense and let the van persie shot go with a warning and just added on time. Very bad reffing imo

and sorry but if that was messi in that situation theres no way in hell he would have been carded

Van persie sent off sealed it for barca. Ic ant believe it was only 1-1 after 56th minute with a nit like diaby filling in for class like alex song and walcott who always give barca fits. Ref gave them this win.
