Well done scousers. You were the better team today. Too many school-boy errors cost United dearly and the absence of Vidic and Rio really showed. United's midfield was absolute piss poor lacking any kind of forward movement and creativity. Can't do much with the players we have available and now that Nani may be looking at some time on the sidelines it will only get worse I fear. He is the only one midfielder with any flare that can take on defenders. He'll also draw the attention of at least 2, 3 players which let the other midfielders have a little more space and get free....now with Nani possibly out for some spell the midfield will really be exposed...I mean how long can United really rely on two 37 year-olds and the likes of Fletcher, Carrick and Gibson where watching paint dry is more exciting. I can't wait until Park and Anderson (and Valencia) get back...how absurd that would have sounded to say that in the past. C'mon Fergie, time for a reality check....stop drinking the scotch and bring in some players. I know we're skint, but there has to be more value in the market than a £7M bum from Portugal. Rant over.

Ferguson going 4-4-2 in this type of game was surprising in it self. To do it with Carrick and Scholes in CM and when Vidic and Ferdinand are out was suicidal. Never expected that - did he decide to gamble because Arsenal only drew or did he just underestimate Liverpool?
