I know he is not playin' well since he came to Chelsea, but he is talented and I think he will score at least one goal, he was very expensive for Chelsea, so they will put pressure on him to score tonight.

Torres has not been the same anymore after he did cut off his golden locks.

I always thought that this guy is a real limited player. His biggest strength is his speed. You need to "launch" him in the depth of the pitch. He can't do anything in the small space of the field.

Only manager who has managed to get the best out of him is Rafa. We played to his strength and his partnership with Gerrard was deadly. Doubt we'll see the same Torres again, especially with the injuries.

Exactly, he wouldn't be in England if it wasn't for Rafa. Now he's being thrown around like a rag doll in teams where he doesn't fit in. I think Madrid might pick him up in the summer.

I like that shevchenko analogy. It is a really apt comparison as both were overly reliant on using their speed to create that extra bit of space. Otherwise, both were limited in terms of skill. Torres is still a good player, but no longer world class. Definitely not worth 50 mill either.

thought he would open his account as well, not in good form right now, his time will come though. the hardest part to the torres saga is seeing drogba continually come off the bench.

This is an awful prediction as the way Torres play, he needs at least 2 more games to score the first goal for Chelsea, of course not by a penalty, to me.

As mentioned above, he needs space. He lacks the technique to create his own space in a crowded area. A limited player. With a far superior technique, Drogba is far more dangerous for Chelsea.

In fact I never liked Torres. Overrated IMO.
People don't like him to much anymore! In the WC everybody was complaining about him!

Thing is though, he only did it at Liverpool. And for two seasons. Last season, he went missing and this season too. Rafa Benitez was a massive factor to him doing well.

He's lost a yard of pace to injury, which was his main asset. I highly doubt we'll see the Torres of 07/08 and 08/09 anymore.
