Central Coast needs only Draw here. Next game will be at home v Jets.
CCM needs only ONE single point to secure the second place. I like Draw 1-1 or 0-0.
Phoenix needs only Draw here. Next game will be at home against Fury.
I like Draw 1-1.
But......
Kiwi Pair Called In By Phoenix
Monday, 7 February 2011
Sean Lovemore and Aaron Clapham will join the Wellington Phoenix squad in Sydney on Tuesday.
With captain Andrew Durante copping a two-game suspension following a yellow card in Saturday’s 1-0 win in Adelaide, and Vince Lia forced out with a hamstring injury the Phoenix were left with 13 players available for Wednesday’s Hyundai A League game against Sydney FC.
That would have meant only one outfield player on the bench.
Waitakere United and Canterbury United agreed to release Lovemore and Clapham respectively and the pair will fly to Australia on Tuesday morning.
Lovemore is a striker or wide player, while Clapham, who was in the 23-man All Whites squad at the World Cup finals in South Africa is a midfielder.
Coach Ricki Herbert said he was immensely appreciative of Waitakere, Canterbury and New Zealand Football for supporting the availability of the players.
“To get the support of the clubs and New Zealand Football at such short notice was fantastic,” Herbert said.
“In Sean’s case it is a great opportunity for a young boy to get some more experience in a professional environment.
“He got game time with us pre-season against Brisbane and Adelaide. He has also played for the Phoenix development side.
“Aaron has always showed a passion to play professional football and this provides him with another chance to sample what that is like.
“Since the World Cup Aaron has continued to play for Canterbury United and his inclusion shows that the Phoenix has a strong visibility across the country’s domestic competition.”
And.....
Sydney FC will play two friendly matches against New South Wales Premier League opponents in the lead up to and during its 2011 AFC Champions League campaign.
Sydney FC will play Sydney United on Wednesday 23 February at Edensor Park (7:30pm kick-off) in the lead up to their first match of the AFC Champions League campaign which is on Wednesday 2 March against Korea’s Suwon Samsung Bluewings at the Sydney Football Stadium.
The Sky Blues will then play APIA Leichardt at Lambert Park on Wednesday 9 March (7:30pm kick-off) – a week before their second AFC Champions League match which is against Japan’s Kashima Antlers at the Kashima Soccer Stadium in Kashima.
“Preparing for such a big football tournament requires matches and match fitness and there is a three week break between our final A-League game and our first Champions League game so the first friendly will be very important for a number of reasons,” Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka said.
It seems Sydney will not go anywhere in A - league this season.

I like the over, Wellington are missing two of their regular defenders (one of which is the captain) and have an 18 year old defender making only his second start. And has been mentioned above because they have so many injuries/suspensions they have two amateur players (who aren't that bad) filling up the bench.

No one is kicking it anywhere near the goal. It's windy. Wellington Phoenix always has the ball.

vukovic
I had a big play on the under chasing after a bad day yesterday. The game easily could have been 5-0 if not for vukovic and then the last second shot off the post almost gave me a heart attack.
