Final Picks for Tuesday February 22, 2011:

1) Copenhagen vs Chelsea

- This game is very interesting... on one side, we have a very tough Danish team with plenty of confidence after the group stages in the CL - and they havent played an important match for over 2 months!!!! on the other side, we have a desperate Chelsea side with this competition as their only one left to win (which they wont anyways)... tough game to call but after watching the highlights again from the Copen vs Barca 1-1 game, I have concluded that they will not lose at home... they have a good keeper and a sneaky-looking coach who might stir up some interesting strategies for tomorrow and THEY HAVE NOT YET LOST A HOME GAME AT THIS STAGE!!!! I suggest taking Copenhagen +1 and maybe put a small wager on the DNB...

final prediction: Copenhagen 1-0 Chelsea (or 1-1) - take the Copenhagen +1

2) Lyon vs Madrid

- this game has under 2.5 written all over... on one side, we have a very capable French team who seem to piss off Real by knocking them out 3 times in a row!!!! all 3 road games finished a DRAW in Spain, while all 3 home games, Lyon won (3-0, 2-0, 1-0) - funny pattern: they scored 1 less goal each time

... and important factor to consider for this match is that Mourinho is now at the helm of Real and you can basically call this team by HIS NAME because he is the only reason that they might go far in this competition... he is obviously capable of breaking Lyon's jinx over Real and I think he just might... however, Lyon will put up a strong fight and this game may be level for quite some time... The Special One seems to love winning by the odd goal and showed this last year with two 0-1 victories over CSKA and Chelsea!!!! this year, Real has beaten both Sevilla and Atletico by 0-1 in the Copa and also beat Espanyol 0-1 on the road in La Liga... I think that he will repeat this scoreline in France tomorrow...

final prediction: Lyon 0-1 Real Madrid (or 0-0) - take the under 2.5

The only problem with Copenhagen is that they did not play for a long time.
Teams need continuity to play good football, a break might help your fitness, but I don't know about gameplay. Copenhagen is doing great in friendlies recently. Either way, it's worse to play every 3/4 days and I am pretty sure Chelsea f-ks it up again. +0.5 is a good one here.

As for Lyon/Real Madrid. I honestly cannot make up my mind here. Lyon is very strong at home, playing well recently. But RM has the edge, even though they are struggling to score in Spain. Lyon might win here 1-0 with a solid defense or RM wins with scoring at least 2 goals when they find out how to outplay Lyon. If it goes well, RM wins and it will go over. 1X2 U/O No bet for me.

- I feel that Bayern will get their revenge in this match-up but dont know if they will get the win tomorrow... this should lean towards a DRAW but I am nervous of Inter possibly winning this one... still, I will take the WIN/DRAW and definitely a higher scoring game...

final prediction: Inter 2-1 Bayern - take the BTS

2) Marseille vs Manchester United:

- this had DRAW written all over... Marseille is not good enough to beat MNU and MNU will not mind to DRAW tomorrow...

Your predictions are pretty spot on lately I think those are pretty accurate form my view. I think the most value is in Roma, they need to win just to draw and they are in good form lately.

Agreed on Roma. They are the better team and would have won the first leg if not for 10 minutes of craziness. I still can't understand why they are underdogs when they have to win by 2 goals to go ahead. I also really like the over 2.5 or maybe over 3.5 as well. Arsenal could surprise I think and perhaps manage a tie. Other two matches also ties imo.
