When I initially looked at this game, I thought OVER was the play, but the Under actually looks excellent. Some notes:

1) Dortmund have allowed a grand total of 5 goals in their last 9 home games. If you consider that they allowed 2 goals against Leverkusen in their first home game, then they have actually allowed only 3 goals in their last 8 home games.

2) Schalke's defense has peaked of recent as they've allowed only 2 goals in their last 6 games and have amassed an amazing 4 shutouts in that span (including shutting out the mighty Bayern Munich).

3) The Under is 5-1 in Dortmund's last 6 home games.

3) The Under is 5-1 in Schalke's last 6 games.

Like I said, I initially liked the Over but when I wanted to play it, I decided to look more into the records of both teams. I know the last meeting was a 4-goal affair but I like the Under today for the reasons I enumerated in the first post.

You may be right. That's why i prefer to lay off the total and just take dortmund -1. The total could venture either way depending on the 1H. I think like most games the 1H will establish the pace of the play on the pitch. If an early goal is scored then the over will hit, but if it is a defensive 1H then your under will be good.

Very Good insight as well. Imo this is one of those games were the OVER/UNDER depends on who scores the 1st goal. I mean if it's the favorite home team (BVB) then it's most probably a 2-0 1-0 win.
But we'll see.
