    Fabu88's Soccer Picks
    Hello everyone,

I am still new to SBR and I must admit that I am glad that I came across this site. Not only is it interesting to follow other people and see people's opinions in different sports games, but I also get to see how well I can manage myself.

I am an Arsenal fan myself for over 10 years now and have been following the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga for quite some time now. I started this thread to show you my picks on different soccer games and hopefully get to meet people who can share their opinions with my picks and I can hopefully share some valuable advice to everyone too!

By no means will my picks be "sure" picks, but it will be interesting to see how my stats will be by the end of this season

But enough of the bull crap, let's get down to business!

Tomorrow we have two games coming up:

    1. Carling Cup semi-final between Birmingham and West Ham.
    2. Premier League match between Liverpool and Fulham.

Both games are going to be tough ones and do not really bring enough value to bet on them. But just to test, I am going to make a small bet on a 2 game parlay. These are my choices:

    1. Birmingham vs West Ham (Draw +220)
    2. Liverpool (Moneyline -215)

The Carling Cup Semi-Final is a tough fixture, first of all Birmingham are very strong at home and are able to snatch points away from top Premier League teams such as Manchester United this season. Birmingham will be focusing on getting 1 goal, which would be enough to see them go through to the finals, whereas West Ham will focus on defense and counter attacking whenever possible. My guess is that West Ham will be able to sneak in a goal in a counter attack which will put Birmingham in full offense, but I do not see Birmingham having the quality to score more than one goal, therefore ending the game 1-1.

Liverpool have had a horrific season so far, but are slowly starting to pick up their game. Last match against Wolverhampton, we started seeing significant signs of improvement and I believe the 3-0 victory from Wolverhampton will give them the extra boost to seal a victory at home against Fulham. My guess? 2-0 for Liverpool.

I like West Ham not to win today, but still cant decide on whether Birmingham will win or the game will DRAW - TBH, I can see this game going to OT, so I would pick 1-0 or 2-1 FT

      good picks, GL

I agree. None of those games give good value.

Avarm Grant tends to love a good cup run and sets up his team in such a manner that they end up doing well.

Liverpool's showing against wolves was not as convincing for me as the score line suggests. Wolves have conceded goals all season they really shouldn't have.

I think the game showed more than anything else that the mentality of the team is swinging in the right direction, and I think they should have JUST enough to squeeze a tight win out of fulham.

Thank you Special One, we'll see who comes closest hehe
Amonsot I agree with your comment on Grant, he may not be having the ideal situation in the Premier League at the moment, but their team will be extremely hungry for a possible cup glory, which would at least ease their relegation pain a bit.
It is true that Wolverhampton has conceded a lot of goals, but they have usually been able to score, if we look at their game against Man City for example. But it all comes down to Liverpool trying to deliver the ball in the net. I was thinking of a possible 0-0 draw, but I have a weird feeling that Torres is going to score at least 1 in this game!

As I predicted, West Ham leading 1-0, now Birmingham will have to go on full offense in order to score two goals to take it to overtime. Hopefully West Ham doesn't put another in and Birmingham scores one late on in the game.

Birmingham equalized, it is 1-1 now. Hopefully it will also end like this!
Liverpool is also leading 1-0. So far so good!
