I know Blackpool has fallen off some recently, but Liverpool AWAY from home as the favorite? I actually think they will get a result, but I was hoping for a far better option that what is currently presented. Guess the bookies think the Reds are going to give it all for the new man in charge.

#2not necessarily, the odds were similar when this was supposed to play in December... the bookies are simply underestimating Blackpool - my guess is either 1-1 or 1-2... hard to see anything else IMO...Originally posted by EaglesPhan36I know Blackpool has fallen off some recently, but Liverpool AWAY from home as the favorite? #3Gerrard should be pretty rested after that red card in the FA cup. The fact that they held United scoreless the entire game other than that Berbatov dive penalty, should say something about their organization defensively.
Blackpool is a great team but they're gonna be out classed in this game. I think 0-0 suits both of them.Comment -

#6yeah that is my original prediction, but I can;t touch the goals total in this game it's a total lottery. These 2 teams could easily have a goal fest if they wanted to, it really is a toss up for the o/u.Originally posted by The Special Oneyou are right, there is a great chance for 0-0...Comment -

#7I like both 1-1 & 0-0, I dont see Blackpool losing 2 in a row at home... Ian would not allow that
Good odds for both correct scores...

#15Originally posted by EaglesPhan36I know Blackpool has fallen off some recently, but Liverpool AWAY from home as the favorite? I actually think they will get a result, but I was hoping for a far better option that what is currently presented. Guess the bookies think the Reds are going to give it all for the new man in charge.Think both are valid points. Bookies will look at Liverpool's last performance under Dalglish at Old Trafford where it seemed the team put out a much better and spirited performance. They showed alot more attacking intent in an away game (1st half) than they have in previous away games and defended well with a man down. It will appear as if the players have new belief in the manager and will want to help him get his first victory under his belt.Originally posted by The Special Onenot necessarily, the odds were similar when this was supposed to play in December... the bookies are simply underestimating Blackpool - my guess is either 1-1 or 1-2... hard to see anything else IMO...
As for Blackpool, bookies will look at their recent home results and see that they have struggled lately somewhat...a loss to Brum, a narrow victory over the Wolves, struggling to get by a 9-man West Brom side and a draw with Everton sandwiched in. Not all that convincing though at times they have played decent football. They're still considered the new kids in the top flight and they may not get the respect they deserve eventhough they already have won earlier at Anfield. But yes, I think it has a little more to do with Liverpool's situation that bookies have them favoured.
anyhow...probably a game I stay away from.Comment -

#24I Wouldnt back Liverpool with anyone elses money right now to be honest, they are priced on name and old reputation and nothing else. Any other team in Liverpools position and in this scenario would be a worthy road dog.
Still, Blackpool have been total dogger lately so anything can happen and most likely will.
Not gonna have a play but c'mon the Tangerines anyways
