For a lot of people it was a top 3 team before the World Cup, but after watching them play some of them realized it was foolish..

Argentina made a huge mistake leaving out Cambiasso and essentially had no protection at all for their back 4 and were massively exposed because of that, Maradona seemed to think he would win despite massive defensive frailties.
