I think people is overrating Iniesta!

I think the job that Xavi does is less visible! But is more valueable!

Take out Xavi of barca or Spanish team and they'll play like sh*t without midfield! Xavi is another kind of player! The one that u can have in the team and u may not notice him but without him the team won play at the same level!

Xavi has the vision, he find the spaces, he knows when and where he has to pass the ball!

IMO Xavi! But sadly cause I feel he wont get the Golden Ball!

I really would Like Xavi to get it! But I think is between Messi and Iniesta! In fact Iniesta is in the run just cause of the goal he made!

Everybody knows this prizes are not just football and also popularity! And Iniesta and Xavi are not even close to Messi in that Aspect!

i think the fact we're only talking about barcelona players says something about this team....on the list, one of the next 3 players would also be from Barca, David Villa...i can also think of milito/sneijder and forlan...
latinrus, u are right, and I would also give the award to xavi because he is 30, and wont probably have another year like this one. messi is 23, iniesta is 26

Forlan is a great player I really think the guy showed also all he had in WC! He took in the WC the prize! That's what he deserved but this one should go to other hands!

If Spain didn't win the World Cup, then Messi would be the auto pick. But Xavi should win now. Xavi was part of both Spains and Barcas succeses, he was right in the middle of the midfield directing everything for both teams.

But he didn't score the damn goal!

People thinks Iniesta is better and they say they're both almost the same in midfield! Even when Xavi is 2 or 3 times better! But the goal, the goal may be the key!

And I really hope I'm wrong cause I think Xavi deserves it! I really don't like him cause he's been talking sh*t about Real!

Hardest working player with both the WC winning team and Barca's CL/league success Xavi should win.
Iniesta scored an important goal but he doesn't deserve best all around player.

Most of the golden balls were awarded to some of the leading scorers and nothing else in particular. If you compare Xavi, Iniesta and Messi at efficieny, Messi probably will be the best goal scorer and nothing more. Per total Xavi and Iniesta in my oppinion have a great contribution to Messi's success. But FIFA is awarding this prize for spectacular players most of the time.
