I don't think it's a paysite, so I don't see what the problem is there - I also don't understand though why they couldn't just copy & paste their write-ups from the website into this thread though. That would have alleviated any problems at all.

It's against SBR's guidelines to advertise your website or mention any personal info ie Twitter names ANYWHERE on the forum other than in the Sports Promotions and Links subforum. Both TurkZz and Karaliyan were very well aware of this as we exchanged many PMs over the past couple of weeks about this. They then decided to post links to their thread in Sports Promos in this thread. Many times, as well as their Twitter names. Again violating SBR's posting guidelines.

Last night one of them made a post that was literally a request for money. This again is unacceptable and both TurkZz and Karaliyan are well aware of it however they decided to push the boundaries again. That person will not be able to post in any area of SBR besides the Sports Promos subforum upon their return.

Sorry guys but these two knew the rules of the forum and decided to keep advertising anyway. If someone wants to tout themselves, they can do it in the appropriate forum. If not, they can find somewhere else to tout instead.

I don't mean any disrespect Shari91, but in my opinion you're making a mistake about this issue. These guys are straight up and have a great soccer thread with over 35,260 views!
I have been following them on twitter for over a year now and all I have seen are picks just like they post on their thread. Also if you take a look at their site you will see that all they do there is give an analysis on the Turkish league and games while at the same time post their picks. They also provide news on what is happening in Turkish football. Not once have I seen them charge for a pick or have I seen them advertise such a thing. Not once. All they have are a few links on their page just like everybody else does. What's the big deal? They put in a lot of work.
Personally I have nothing to gain by saying this because I can just follow them on twitter or check out their site. Also I've never talked BS to or about anyone on here or anywhere else for that matter. I think they are an asset to SBR, they've got a great soccer thread with a large following and they have never been out of line to anyone unlike a lot of other posters in various threads.

Bottom line, it's your decision. I just wanted to express my opinion.

Hi Vreston - Thanks for taking the time to share your opinion.

Unfortunately there have been people with 10x the number of thread views than this one who found themselves in the same situation. They advertise, instead of being banned immediately they're warned, they advertise again, they receive an infraction, they advertise again, they're restricted from posting for 10 days or longer. You didn't see the post mentioning money because I happened to see it almost immediately after it was posted and I deleted it. Asking people to visit your website so you can make some money is a sure way to find yourself on either a temporary or permanent vacation from the forum.

The bottom line is: SBR isn't operating a billboard for anyone who wants to start a blog, picks site, tout operation, whatever. We already offer a place to advertise for free: The Sports Promos subforum. Anyone is more than welcome to share their write-ups and picks throughout the forum. But if the only way they'll share them is by providing a link to their website or by continuously telling people to check out their website or Twitter outside of the Sports Promos subforum, then they're better off finding another forum on which to advertise.

Don't they just remind you of the "teacher's helper" types that try and tell other classmates how to act according to the "classroom rules" and are always telling the teacher what other people are doing and stuff. Half the people in here run to mommy when someone says something they can't handle. Like ObamaIsMyUncle...pussy can dish it out but when I made a point to him that he couldn't handle...he ran to fukin' williebee who then steps up to me with an "infraction" like he's the fukin' hall monitor. These people really need to grow a pair of balls cuz everyone knows they're completely different people behind a keyboard. Shari is the only one that I have seen actually try and explain to the public what has happened and why it has happened without having a condescending tone in her writing. I've seen her take a very objective view in handling problem-posters and seems to be great at not passing judgement. She seems to be the best "liaison" and the only one who actually cares about her relationship as a mod with the proletariat, the rest just bark orders from their dingy, twinkie-wrapper infested clouds the rest of us call "mom's basement". Cue the infraction...lol....they can't handle people's thoughts.
