    Europa League Thursday games
Hi, I am Lars from Germany - just arrived here at the Forum. I will post my thoughts about Bundesliga, Championsleague and Europa League here.

    Europa League Thursday 16th December

    Group A

    Juve - Man City
    RB Salzburg - Lech Posen

Both games are without value as City and Lech are already qualified. It is very likely that the teams will bench the stars and players from 2nd and 3rd row will get a chance. Hard to predict - stay away!

    Group B

    Bayer Leverkusen - Atletico
    Aris - Rosenborg

Bayer is qualified for the next round and they will bench some top players tonight. GK Rene Adler is on the injury list and 2nd GK Fabian Giefer (played also against Trondheim) will replace him. Atletico needs to win to have a chance to qualify. The weather will be a problem as we have already strong winds and heavy snow in parts of Germany and this will effect the game for sure. NO BET!

Aris is in a confortable position, they need a win at home against Rosenborg to make the next round. Rosenborg is already on vacation mode as the season in Norway ended a few weeks ago and they have no chance to get into the next round. ARIS is very strong at home and I pick them to win this game and keep Atletico on 3rd place. Keep in mind that they won the head-to-head against Atletico. PICK - ARIS to WIN

    Group C

    Levski Sofia - Sporting Lissabon
    OSC Lille - KAA Gent

Levski with no chance to qualify - Sporting already qualified - this will be a friendly match and this is a clear - NO BET
OSC Lille against KAA Gent is a real final. Lille needs a win, Gent will qualify with a draw. Tricky match but I think that Lille got the quality to win this one - PICK OSC Lille to win

    Group G

    AEK Athen - Zenit
    RSC Anderlecht - Hajduk Split

Nice and interesting group. AEK needs to win against Zenit to qualify. Anderlecht needs to win and they need the help from Zenit to qualify. Interesting match-ups - the problem and hard to predict is the role of Zenit. Will they bench their top players or will they play 100% to give Anderlecht a realistic chance?
Nevertheless needs Anderlecht to win so my pick is - Anderlecht to win
    AEK- Zenit - NO Bet

    Group H

    Stuttgart - Odense
    Getafe - Bern

Everything is fixed in this group but it will be interesting to see how Stuttgart will perform in this game. They changed their head coach (Bruno Labbadia is now the man in charge) the second time this year and Bruno needs to win this game to make a statement. Nobody knows if there will be an effect from the new headcoach so - NO BET.
Getafe - Bern is a nice friendly match which I do not like to bet - NO BET

    Group I

    Debrecen - Genua
    PSV - Metalist

First game will be a friendly match - NO BET
The second one is a bit more interesting but I stay away here as well -NO BET

Ok thats it for today -hope you like it!

My bet for today is a parlay or system bet :

WIN ARIS / WIN LILLE / WIN ANDERLECHT

The thing about Zenit is that they have pretty good bench. And the season in Russia is over, so they have no reason to extra care for themselves. Plus I don't think that Spaletti could say to his team that they do not need to win. So I'm quite sure that Zenit won't lose this one, but I wouldn't bet on their win either. Zenit +0 looks good though.

And there are 1.8 odds on Gent with hcap 0:2. Nice bet from my point of view.

Thanks for the UEFA Europa hits Lars. All 3 will win. (assuming Anderlecht holds a 2-0 lead)
Their parlay will only pay double, but I'm happy to get it. I took a flyer and made an easy $100.
If only NCAAB and the NBA were so predictable.

Zenit "B" team does it again! 2-0 leading! Russian teams have been a gold mine in the groups round!

Now let's see who they'll face in next round!

I don't think it's the B team, the scorers in the 4-2 win over AEK last time are playing I think. Maybe a couple important players missing from Zenit.

AEK still sucks though, this was do or die and they let Zenit (a team that could lose and win teh group) score 2 goals...

I think they just have a deep bench!

They left at home Kerzhakov, Danny, Anyukov!

And still have very ice players on the field!
