              Even without Torres and Gerrard you can see why this game meant so much for Liverpool, you have to understand EPL politics, you can't just think about who is better as a club, it's not profitable in the long run.

                good call mate.

                it was nice to see liverpool win. at least i followed the golden rule and avoided having a punt on the under when emotions were involved in making the call. i meant about things getting worse is that, the team that ran out last night may be the permanent 1st team if things don't improve :/

                    The surprising thing about the match is that Villa just did not compete. Their chances on goal were almost non-existent against a team supposedly hit by injuries and containing fringe and junior players. Liverpool absolutely outclassed and outplayed them.
