I thought so initially but dissecting the records of both teams, I think the odds are spot on when you consider their recent forms. Dortmund and Hamburg both have only 2 wins in their last 5 games, respectively. And if you look at the home/road records (Bundesliga games only), Dortmund has 3 wins in 5 (60%) at home while Hamburg has 2 wins in 5 road games (40%). So Dortmund shouldn't actually be too much of a favorite here.

I however like Dortmund for 2 reasons:
1) The fact that they have only 2 wins in their L5 games (40% win rate) gives me much hope. Dortmund are much better than a 0.400 team. The correction to their win rate is likely to commence in this game. So a Dortmund win has the tremendous support of the law of averages.

2) Looking at the Dortmund/Hamburg series, the home team is a perfect 5-0 in the L5 meetings and 7-1 in the L8 meetings. I expect more of the same.

The Over is tempting but quite risky at 3.5 because Dortmund seem to have tightened things at the back. They have allowed a grand total of zero goals in their last 4 games.
