This could make Serbian fans think twice the next time they think they can stop a game to give their team the advantage.

Italy also punished, but given only a 1 match stadium ban with no people in the stands. Basically both teams punished for not being able to control their fans, Serbia with the harsher punishment since their fans were involved in stopping the game.

This had nothing to do with stopping the game to give their own team the advantage. It´s all politics and as most often football hools are used as the tool.

This and in a big way - especially in countries like Serbia who cant seem to move into modern times.

Serbian football organization gave Italian police and their football organization information that there could be problems with flares, cold weapons because of recent problems. BUT Italia ignored that and we all seen result of that!
Italy has to pay 120k, game behind closed doors is conditional and it wont happen unless Italian fans will be problematic.

But if you think how FIFA works, I will give you one example why this is all about money

Everyone here knows I'm from Slovenia and in October (next year) we will play qualifying match for Euro 2012 against Italy, and because Italy is better team and big favorite on paper they will get all three points (prediction), BUT if I and 10 other people buy tickets for guest fans and bring in some flares and other pyrotechnic(thats not a problem), Slovenia will get all three points and 3:0 goal difference, No problem. 120k of money isn't that big amount either, if you qualify to competition like Euro 2012.

You see what I mean? This isn't fair because you cant blame guest fans for problems!!! Organizer is responsible for away fans and safety of all visitors!!!

FIFA should repeat that match behind closed doors! Because now every team can get 3 points without problems. How would it looked like if there would be no Italy or Serbia on Euro 2012? Some country lobbies are just to big in FIFA/UEFA.

            And remember
FOOTBALL IS FOR YOU AND ME, NOT FOR FUCKIN' INDUSTRY!

UEFA's decision to award Italy with a 3-0 win in its disputed match with Serbia is not fair no matter how you look at it, and I don't care what Serbia think...
