El Salvador @ Costa Rica
Did absolutely little capping on this game. El Salvador are coming from a 1-0 loss to Panama. Salavadorian side were on a high playing to get into the World Cup but they have fallen right back off the high horse. My parents are from El Salvador. My father and uncle follow soccer like if their life depended on it. So ofcourse I ask for their opinion on this and many other Central American matchups. They BOTH comfirmed there is NO WAY El Salvador pulls out the Draw or Win AT Costa Rica. This writeup has more to do about El Salvador than it does Costa Rica since I have more insight on ES. After being in the last 6 in the Concacaf playoffs to get into the WC, they have been on a downhill slide and dont see how they upset or Draw against a decent Costa Rican side. El Salvador are composed of mostly young players with a few veterans like Cheyo Quintanilla.... THATS IT. He is the ONLY player on El Salvador who could threaten Costa Rica. Long Story short, play ON Costa Rica ML or -.5. I wouldnt touch the -1 since it could be a low scoring, boring ass game between two Central American foes.
