I just watched a game and still cant figure out why they dont stop the clock when the ball goes out of bounds or on goals etc...
why is there no stopping of the clock in soccer?

#3yeah thats normal in soccer. for that there will be extra time shown when 45min or 90min is reached (mostly 1-4min extra)Comment -

#4The clock would be stopping all the time.
The ref adds extra time to each half to make up for time lost during regular play. For things like substitutions, injuries, fouls, etc. Even though the extra time is not exact.
That's how it's always been in soccer.Comment -
