History wasn't relevant imo, since this Rangers team used a totally different playing style then we're used to from Scottish teams. Besides that, the lack of quality in Scottish soccer became painfully obvious yesterday.
Even with Rangers' ultra-defensive approach PSV created a couple of big chances and, if we had a decent striker, could and should have made the return match a formality.

That's only part of it. Midfield is actually better balanced with Hutchinson back in midfield, but Afellay's creativity is certainly missed.

The injury of Reis is a bigger factor imo, since we lack adequate cover for him. Berg has been out of form all season and has absolutely no confidence, Koevermans and Zeefuik simply lack quality. He hasn't done very well in that position last year, but I'd like to see PSV try Toivonen as a central striker again after his suspension, with Nijland (very creative player) behind him.

Udinese is just unbelievable in attack, Sanchez, Isla, Di Natale etc... these guys combine so well to create goals. I was just looking over yesterdays game this team is in top form:

The bad thing about this middle table team is that they have a good season and in next season big teams want some of the players they have.
Already a lot of rumors about Sanchez going to another team.
