Probably Newcastle will park the bus but when Manchester United has such quality in attack, all guys in great form Owen, Berbatov, Hernandez. Rooney looked better than at the World Cup. It's hard to stay away from this one.

SoV with this post you proved you're an idiot.
I said quality attack, and Owen/Rooney/Hernandez/Berbatov isn't quality?

No such a thing as a lock in EPL. Plus it is the first game of the season and toons are back in the top flight. Would rather lean towards newwcastle +2

I think united will win, but playing the handicap is a lottery since it is the first game of the PL, will we see a crush like the one Chelsea?

That is not a quality attack. You're a massive mong for thinking so. Rooney and Hernandez haven't played together so you can't call them quality yet. Berbatov has been SHITE for United. And Owen is a perma-crock.
Now we know who the idiot is.

Not calling you out mate. I'm on the same bet myself. But if your reasoning for this is United's quality attack, then you are not completely right. Rooney was good last season but he's been short of form and fitness. Talked about the rest three above.
For me, United's defense and midfield are far superior than Newcastle's, which is why they'll win convincingly.

-1.5 is always tough , if Newcastle scores you need ManU to get 3 , hardly a lock. I do expect a win though , 2-1 is possible.

Ahaha, man you suck. Anytime I would challenge you and I'm sure 100% I'll kick your ass.
When you'll hit 70% of 82 picks and keep the ROI above 120%, PM me and I'll accept a challenge.

And you come out and say Man U is a lock? If you have some experience, you should know that nothing is a lock. Man U could come out shooting blanks today, or getting 2 red cards.

I don't think it's a lock at all. Opening games are always tricky.

Newcastle aren't at home
While United are often slow starts, Newcastle's defence is vulnerable if you run at it. And the likes of Rooney, Owen, Valencia, Nani, Giggs like to run with the ball. That will expose newcastle this season whereas Newcastle can deal with long ball. I think Steven Taylor is out too which weakens them. I'm in agreement with this tip
Best of luck all (except the one who said under 2.5 goals )

Tough match and not tough match.
Everyone knows United will win barring a huuuuuuuge shock, but questions are
1. does United turn it up once they have the lead
2. can Newcastle hold off United, will they score

lol, okes, we can just wait and see the result to see who is correct. Stop this talking of who is better than who. Shows us the result this season, then we may settle it.
GL all!
On United win and united win by 2-0 or 3-0 also. I agree with u brother!

If you watched the game defensively we were worrying! Carroll got the best of Vidic and Evans on more than one occasion. Looks like a weak point in the United team

no he didnt, Carrol got about two looks at the goal and even then he was under so much pressure he didnt know what to do, Newcastle had 30% possession and 4 shots on goal they had nothing. The onlt thing manchester united need to work on is defending their set pieces.

Don't kid yourself. Man Utd attack is anything but quality. Only Ronney is world class. If Ronney goes down, who do they have? Berba I am too lazy? Owen I am hurt all the times? How about no European experience Hernandez? I will take Barcelona or Chelsea front line over Man Utd. Give me Messi, Villa, or Drogba, over Man Utd attackers.
