Yeah, not sure what the BPL is?

Perhaps you have got the name incorrect? Are you talking about a British Premier League because it doesn't actually exist. England, Scotland, Wales and Ulster all have their own individual national leagues. Although a few Welsh clubs play in the English competitions and one English club plays in the Scottish competitions.

              Barclays Premier League

Just call it the Premiership, my good man. I bet the English, Spanish, Italian, French and German leagues.

                  Blackpool for the title

I mean, for all the Fabregas', Rooney's and Lampard's of the world, who can argue with Brett Omerod for Golden Boot

Or more realistically, the 'Will Blackpool reach 11 points?' market.

I watch it a lot like other people as well, don't just ask for 1 man, when the league starts off there are a lot of people with opinions that could sway against public opinion... it's a extremely public league so there isn't going to be 1 guy or whatever whose going to magically give you picks when his opinion is probably shared by a million people.

Like Johon said, you will need other opinions apart from mine. Mine can be biased at times 'cos I support the mighty Reds.

As for Blackpool winning the league, I actually have them to finish 20th.

It should be an entertaining season, to watch, but the money to be made IMO is in the lower leagues. Reading team websites for injury/youth squad coming into the first team information can almost guarantee you a bet, unless you think the books are reading every lower league club website up to the minute. For the BPL you can bet everyone is on every piece of information though.

IMO Premier league is best to bet about half way through. I will probably bet ever week but more money can be made later on.

By mid season you have a good sample of games to look at and teams have really established a trend to play. Then you can fairly accurately predict the outcomes if you been watching the games looking for form players and clubs.

True but if one has been watching the league for years, they are in a good position to make plays. I have a very good knowledge about the teams and the players which is why I trust my instincts in all leagues.

You're right we can predict it better, but then the prices go up, it's such a public league that you need to know how and when to bet against the favorites which will not have good price tags on them for the risk.

                                  Yup very well said.

I always try to go on form when possible. Two years ago when I lost my job I had time to watch every game every week and it made a big difference. It is much easier IMO to see how a team plays with your eyes than #'s and trends.

Very tough to predict this opening weekend. Think I will play some unders and draws for small amounts. Theres always a big shock the 1st weekend, like Arsenals 6-0 thrashing of Everton last season.

Yeah, thats my problem, I can pick a winner here and there, but I don't know how a club does in certain conditions or how some injuries are more significant than others.

Luckily the premier league is very easy to keep track of, but the finer details require a big knowledge of the league

I'm looking to Lay Chelsea. Haven't look good in pre-season at all, Drogba is doubtful, they just sold Carvalho (their best defender, imo) among others. West Brom look to play good football and will be open up Chelsea quite a few times. At the odds available, worth a punt.
