    Blackpool Bets
I like these Blackpool bets. Blackpool's team looks embarrassing. They will struggle to get anything this season.

    What to expect this season:
A small team who caused a big shock by beating both Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City in last seasons playoffs. It was surprising enough to see them slip into the top 6 above Swansea City also. They don’t have the best defence in the world and don’t have Premier League quality strikers. Rightfully touted as the next Derby County, Blackpool will come close to breaking the Rams’ records this season. Failing to make any big signings with less than a week before the season kicks off must worry their optimistic fans. The town of Blackpool needs a makeover, as does their squad. Ian Holloway seemingly doesn’t have the money or pulling power to do so and it’s going to be a long, long and ultimately disappointing season for the Oranges. There are some great odds on Blackpool finishing bottom to take prior to the start of the season.
    Best bets:
    Under 26 points 11/10
    10 points or less 16/1
    To finish bottom 10/11

I'm all over the under 26 points

Wigan v Blackpool first game of the season,

any Tips on that, thinking about Wigan 2-0 or 2-1 or even 1-1 for correct score.

I'm holding out for Evens on Betfair. Unlikely I will be matched but first game of the season and being Wigan, I'm not going to back them heavily. Will also back Correct Score Unquoted on Betfair (unquoted = 4 goals or more by 1 team to win) when Blackpool play most games this season - their defence is horrible! Unquoted is 12.5 on Betfair at the mo for their opening game, although I won't back it for the Wigan game because Wigan rarely score that many

Sometimes a promoted club can start the season well. e.g. Burnley , last season.

So it may be better to wait a couple of months before backing against them in individual matches.

At that point any value will be gone as you're hinting they will become the whipping boys after 2 months. Yes, some promoted clubs continue their momentum into the Premier League and then die out after the start; Hull, Burnley, Birmingham recently.

Hull had team work, a bit of luck. Burnley had a feared home ground, attacking intentions that got sniffed out after a few months. Birmingham had a solid defence and no one was surprised they stayed up. Blackpool have none of that! They don't even have DJ Campbell who fired them up. They have a shaky defence, relied on Charlie Adam and have a coach on the sideline who just shouts "get the bal, get the ball" rather than any real tactical knowledge

Blackpool going down is a lock... you can quote me on that in May
