Doubt it. I don't think Sir Alex took any WC players on this preseason tour.

Park Ji Sung won't play because he played in the world cup but Nani, Giggs, Scholes and Berbatov should get a run out. United will smash Celtic!

Diouf should play a part but Hernandez will join up later on in the tour to play against his old club Chivas.

With the US Tour coming up it's extremely dicey to bet on Man U because lineups will be questionable. Even Berbatov has been rumored to be a transfer possibility so they won't risk an injury.

Should be a fun match. Staying away though because I don't know what line ups will be used or even amount of effort from both sides.

At least it's a free ticket.....as a United supporter I wouldn't even consider paying the kind of coin they're asking for those tickets to basically see, for the most part, a reserve side. Pretty poor marketing of this game. The Glazers can piss off.

In Kansas City the Wizards front office has bilked over 40,000 fans to go to Arrowhead and watch a poor MLS team play the Almighty Man U..lol They're throwing out "The most popular team in the World" and Wayne Rooney leads a great side into Kansas City. Wait till they find out it will probably only be the Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs of the world if they're lucky.

I'll be watching it on the tele, but to charge $175 Cdn (lower level) or even $75 (500 level) for a friendly where most of the first team won't be showcased is a little much. I'm here in Toronto on summer vacation from Manchester and I can't seem to bring myself to pay THAT much when at Old Trafford they'll sell premium seats for a friendly for 15 quid. I realise they need (and can) charge a bit of a premium for certain costs involved for this North American tour, but c'mon, seems a bit excessive. To each their own though as not everyone has the luxury of going across the pond to watch them live and this may be their only chance.
(p.s...if you want to see some of our Academy players, you can always subscribe to MUTV or even go onto the Stretfordenders website where they usually stream Academy matches)

Bingo...the price is out of line for a preseason tour....has nothing to do with "living a little"...if you ever watched the Wizards you would understand they should include a knobber for that price.
Second thing....I wouldn't give the Glazers a friggin penny...and Man U supporters will find out soon enough about the Glazers and their money handling.

Ok... I take it back. $175 or even $75 is redonkulas!
Can me and the mrs. stay at your house in Manchester if we can raise the doe-rae-me for air fare this fall. Love to fly in and see a game in person!
NO.. she is not a go-er!
However... A nod is as good as a wink to a blind referee!

LOL....no, I was careful to only offer a bevvy or two! Ahhhh so you were the two on the cover of the Sun... Haha..falling down drunk in public is quite the norm in most places (so is peeing in public as they usually go hand in hand) and getting lost in the fog in Brum isn't such a bad thing...it probably saved you from seeing that horrid city.
(btw, were you there for the festival in Glastonbury...was last there for the one in 2008 when that Jay-Z guy turned up).

Yes it is true...
We have been accused of having way to good of a time in merry old England...
But in every town and every pub we visited we "adopted" a local tour guide!
Dam the english are friendly !
You could be our "Manchester Connection..." !!!
But dude we are old... totally ancient... like in our late 30's!
However we were just there very recently... in 1992.
It was Blur, Television, The Fall, Curve, Primal Scream,
The Levellers, PJ Harvey, Carter USM, James, The Breeders,
Billy Bragg and Van Morrison !
I am not even sure if the TOR was built yet?

Pretty sure that hill was around then....lol. Yah, if you're going to get a tour of the city, I agree, the locals are the way to go. In my mid 30s myself so I can relate! Cheers

Seriously...
Coming in October - No Manchester pub guide... (yet)
Wages payable by the pint!
Everybody in England knows yanks are not dangerous...
(unless driving on wrong side of road...)
PM your phone number and lets have a couple!
P.S. - Just kidding about the lodgings.
We are staying at the Velvet on Canal Street.

Both of these teams suck, Celtic just lost to the Philadelphia Union... I dont care if they were yielding a 5th string team, they suck right now. Man U is in termoil and I don't even believe they have a final roster setup for the start of the EPL in August. 2-0 Man U. Celtic blows I hate to say it, I like Celtic more then Rangers but geeze.
