Well fellahs, now that the world cup is over it's worth to mention several factors that made people react in several ways during the entire tournament:
I was buried in the first week of the worldcup
Freaking octopus is good as both, apetizer and handicapper
Italy and France lowered their usual level due to the fact their domestic leagues were either involved somehow in politics and soccer "experts" flourished and basically decided the fate after their team (France), or, the same domestic leagues were full of foreigners and therefore their national team had nothing to count with (Italy)
Uruguay, team that eliminated my beloved Costa Rica, proved that soccer's made of dreams, effort and love for their shirt rather than just their condition as players and their particular career
Spain proved that their offensive game is based totally in defense, they controlled every game with that rather than putting all the responsibility on the attack spearheads, that proved useful once the game geared up to their like
Germany let us all down in the end but at least let us all recover a little bit with their victories going over as well
Maradona, or Maladroga as I call him, taught us that the biggest talker is the first one to be judged (once again)
Referees sucked big time all tournament long and the final match was no exception
In the end, we had fun watching the games and there's nothing left for us, soccer fans, to do but to wait another long 4 years for the next WC, to be hosted by Brazil.
Domestic leagues, here we go, good luck fellow posters, have fun and don't gamble your asses off.
Cheers
Ced
