Shakira now a 'football fanatic' after W.Cup
JOHANNESBURG — Colombian superstar Shakira said on Saturday that keeping track of the World Cup in South Africa has made her "a football fanatic."
"I really never in my life imagined that I would go straight to the sports section in the newspaper," she told journalists ahead of Sunday's final.
    "I've become a football fanatic."
Shakira, who wrote the official World Cup song "Waka Waka", will play at the closing ceremony ahead of the final between the Netherlands and Spain.
She also played at a kick-off concert the night before the opening match.
"This has been one of the happiest months of my life, and one of the most exciting ones," she said of following the World Cup.

She's done well out of the last 2 world cups, anyone who'd have made the same would be a fanatic by now too.

That bitch don't care about no soccer. How you gonna fall in love with sports after 30 years? Ain't she from South America? Soccer was on in her house all year long growing up and she ignored it her whole life. She's trying to get paid. She's fine as hell, though...
