World Cup 3rd Place Game- Germany's the Pick

This game is one of the most mentally difficult games to predict in any tournament setting—the 3rd place game. Because of this, it is also a challenge bet on for the gambler.

You have Uruaguay team that has been a bit of a Cinderella throughout the World Cup. They overacheived to a certain extent, and may be feeling extra motivation to secure their place as an elite team in the sport of soccer. Counter balancing this thought is they may just be happy to be where they are and satisfied.

On the other side you have Germany team perhaps rightly feels it is the best team in the world. They have played at an exceptionally high level throughout the tournament before stumbling against Spain. They may be due for another let down, lower your head game due to this level of dissapointment.

However, Germany is the pick. They are young, talented and know they could have given a better effort against Spain. I do expect some level of being flat that will put them at risk early in the match, but I think they will wake up and attack Uruaguay successfully as the match progresses. Look for the better team to shake off the cobwebs and put the Cinderella to sleep. The value is with the underdog, but losers don't pay. I’m predicting a 2-1 final for the Germans, and will be putting my money down on the moneyline.

I'd put a small play on germany if anything. Tricky to pick tho, Germany might not be all in it with the dissapointment of losing to Spain. And as said previously, Uruguay will want this to prove they belong with the top tier teams in the world.

In my opinion, Germany was disappointing because Thomas Mueller was out against Spain. With his return, I think Germany has great chance to win the match in the regular time, they are -166 favorite.

On the other side, Uruguay is the +475 underdog, but they will be dangerous with the return of Luis Surarez from his red card.

I will certainly bet on Germany, as they were third in the last European cup. Not to mention that they are more experienced, and Klose will be motivated to score two more goals and become the best scorer in the world cup history!

I think Germany should win. They are a nation renowned for its mental toughness and I think they will be back on their feet until tomorrow. They have to fight for Klose (if he plays) and Muller to score, as Uruguay for Forlan. At least, we should see some goals.

Surely there will be some goals. I don't think Germany will stick to their tactics as much as they did against Spain, and with both Muller and Suarez on the pitch, we're definitely in for some quality football.

This is a no bet for me. I think finishing 3rd means more to Uruguay than Germany, but Klose will be wanting to score and I imagine his teammates will be wanting to help get him on the scoresheet too.

I think Germany had their "down" game and although flat for a spell, will regain form. One additional thought is prior history: Germany came through in the 3rd place game 4 years ago.

I think this game will be on the OVER side @1.66.
If Germany plays like against Spain, it will lose again since it let another team play in front of its goalie and waits for the counter-attack.
Uruguay will be hungrier and would like to take the third place to their continent with the odds @5.00. So with Germany @1.66 ( no juicy here), I will bet on Uruguay 5Ux 5.00 and bet on the Over 10Ux1.66, either way, it will be win, if the game is on the Under and Germany wins, it mean the loss of 15U.

This was a very entertaining game. I have to Uruaguay credit--I felt the immense size advantage of the Germans would have more of an effect on the flow and produce more of a dominant performance for the team in black. The Germans, as well as myself, were lucky they pulled this one out.
