BERLIN — Chancellor Angela Merkel is predicting that Germany will beat Spain 2-1 in their World Cup semifinal.
The German news agency DAPD reported that Merkel said "Spain is a good team" and that Joachim Loew's side faces a "very difficult" task on Wednesday.
The German leader also predicted a 2-1 win in last Saturday's quarter-final against Argentina. Germany exceeded her expectations by winning 4-0.

I dont know what to think. Throw old results against other opponents out the window. Always do that. That will get you into more trouble than anything else. This is about matchups.
I like the Germans today, but Im not really sure why. I like what they did in the last match, sure. But I assume a top ranked Spanish team will provide a little more defense than the Argentines. That is, after all, their m.o.
I could see a draw... at nil-nil. at 3-3. Who knows? This one is a crap shoot. And Im on the Germans.

germany only loss was when they played 10 men for most of the game against serbia, they have looked the best team to me, scoring 4 on england , four on argentina, could have scored 8 on australia
