I'm on Germany, and I got a bad feeling. My buddy was a great soccer player and knows a lot.....he picked Germany before the WC and still thinks they win the whole thing. But I know after Saturday that everyone and their mother is jumping on this train. It seems that Germany is the "easy" pick for those of us that know nothing about soccer. Even still, I don't know that I can jump off this train, even with the feeling of doom.

It depends on which talk board you're in. I think it's very much even by game time. Right now, imo, most casual betters are on Germany (based on their performance in this WC) but by game time "sharps"/seasoned soccer cappers will jump on Spain.

I'm still stand by my opinion up to this point. Most of seasoned soccer cappers across every board I've seen pick Spain to win... including the soon-to-be sushi Paul the Octopus.

To be honest, it makes me feel better for Germany as I see a repeat of Ger/Eng and Ger/Arg... may be not the 4-nil Everyone was thinking that England/Argentina would win and gave no respect for the young Germany team who is hotter and hell.

A lot of people put futures bets down on Spain before the tournament started. The books are putting attractive odds up on Germany to counteract this. They will be sweating if Spain wins and goes on to play the Netherlands. Not a position they want to be in.
