I'm on Germany, and I got a bad feeling. My buddy was a great soccer player and knows a lot.....he picked Germany before the WC and still thinks they win the whole thing. But I know after Saturday that everyone and their mother is jumping on this train. It seems that Germany is the "easy" pick for those of us that know nothing about soccer. Even still, I don't know that I can jump off this train, even with the feeling of doom.

Germany is not a bad bet today, good odds. Thomas Mueller will be missed. It will be difficult to beat Spain tonight. Without Mueller, Klose will be even more important. I am afraid to take the under. It is a clash between Europe’s most attractive team. Expect the team that scores first to win.

i know nothing about soccer and not afraid to admit it but from a betting standpoint this statement makes no sense....if im reading this right you basically just said anytime you bet the favorite its a square bet, i hope you are not serious...

Well, Germany has been a dog against England and Argentina as well, you know. Maybe the bookies just put Spain as favourite to invite action there, because most probably Germany will win again...

I had Germany -1 against England, their dysfunctional 4-4-2 with nobody to pick up Ozil in the hole was always going to be a problem.

A lot of people put futures bets down on Spain before the tournament started. The books are putting attractive odds up on Germany to counteract this. They will be sweating if Spain wins and goes on to play the Netherlands. Not a position they want to be in.
