Jimmy I'm on Uruguay aswell, people are looking too much into the Suarez suspension.
Cavanni is another great player but hasn't had room to shine because he was being played out of position, if Tabarez moves him into Suarez position he could surprise alot of people. Anybody who watched him for Palermo knows how dangerous and explosive he can be and with De Jong out in the defensive midfield for Holland Forlan could get in the hole more and team up with Cavani to cause that shaky back line more problems.
There is value on Uruguay, I've greened up enough on La Celeste but at +600 it may be worth another go.
Also alot is being made about the Dutch beating Brazil, it was Brazil that beat themselves, there was no way in for Holland until the own goal and following breakdown

Thing that worries me more than Suarez suspension is the injuries/suspension issues along the back line. I'll be rooting for Uruguay since I have a future still riding on them. What do you think their strategy is Jimmy? I'm thinking they might adopt a little more defensive minded apparoach to start to try and frustrate the Netherlands. Think they need to pressure them when they get the ball.

What odds would you expect? Uruguay will play with 10 men behind the midfield trying not to concede and take the game 0-0 to penalties just like Paraguay played against Spain. Well Spain was -240 and Netherlands is at -150. The -150 for Netherlands is a bargain in my opinion if you factor in the fact Uruguay's best player and best scorer will not be playing.

Ive seen Uruguay employ this 10-man-behind-ball move several times this world cup and let me tell you-- they dont know how to do it well! They suck at it and if they don't try to attack and push the ball upfield every freaking chance they get instead of short passing, they are going to be slaughtered.

how anyone likes them in this situation is mind boggling..more negatives than positives going into this match,i think anyone who likes them is just going against the public,i really dont see how one can like them in this situation...i know anything can happen but if you had 5k,what would feel more comfortable on? netherlands or uruguay? i think we all know what you'd feel better with but anything can happen at this stage
im on the dutch

What has Holland done to get excited about?
Brazil beat themselves and they just about beat Slovakia. They arn't "heavy" favorites, there isn't such a big quality difference between these two teams.
I don't think Uruguay will sit back, they will press and use their psychical strength to try and overpower Holland in the middle which is possible especially with De Jong out.

Of all teams in the world cup Uruguay has been the most consistant eam and have been playing inspired soccer doing anyhting and everything to win. I would not call it an upset if Uruguay out right beats Holland straight up. I will be putting my "pesos" on Uruguay.

Hollland is the most consistent team. They are 5-0 winning all of their games so far. Even Germany and Spain lost a game earlier. Uruguay has 3 wins and 2 draws so far.
