go ask a trainer, sports psychologist, physiologist, coach, owner, or intelligent fan. extra rest means better performance. it doesnt mean the lesser team will win, but if two teams are evenly talented, which is what we have, the extra days rest is a factor

such a small sample. with a bigger sample the rested team will show a much greater win percentage. to say the extra day doesnt mean anything is ridiculous. its not mlb, nba or even the nhl. its a grueling 90 minutes and every advantage means a lot. an extra days recovery is big............btw i played college soccer and ran track and when recovering from workouts between the 3rd and 4th day is big. very big...........i think the real Holland line should be +160, if spain/germany had a full extra day going into the final i would say holland real line should be +200, thats how big i think it is......thats why i made a thread about the +225

1998 Brazil was the favorite but not by such a large margin as to call France winning a "huge upset" by any stretch.
