no one cares, if it really wasnt offside its just another bad decision in this world cup, but it was close.
and the ball came to the guy who certainly stood offside, so you can make an argument for it being passive offside (yes it is offside if the ball is played to a guy offside who eventually doesn't touch it).

Cry softly tonight
When did 4 SA teams make semis
The last thing FIFA wants is another Euro dominated Semis like in 06...you don't see how they've been pushing Africa and hyping South America?
Europe will go 1, 2, 3 - DOMINATION

Cardozo is offside and he goes for the ball. Correct decision.

Spain can't score and Paraguay is getting robbed.
Draw should be a good bet for the second half since it's going to be 0-0.

It was not the correct decision. Valdez was onside when the ball was kicked and he put it in. THe other player never touched the ball.

You're hating on Europe trying to take away from their domination of South America with conspiracies from FIFA that don't make sense and I'm childish?
Perhaps you didn't notice the head ref from Guatemala giving Paraguay every call and allowing them to basically steal a free kick from Spain

i think it was a very tough call Lb...because the player that jumped for the header was offside and he did go for it...do you remember the demarcus beasley goal that was called back in the 06 cup against italy...he scored and the ball was coming at mcbride in an offside postion and he lifted up his foot so he was involved in the play....if he wouldve just standed there it wouldve been a goal..

Offside offence
A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is touched or played by a team-mate is only committing an offside offence if, in the opinion of the referee, he becomes actively involved in play by
Interfering with playPlaying or touching the ballInterfering with an opponentPreventing the opponent from playing the ball by obstructing the player's sight or intentionally distracting the opponentGaining an advantage by being in an offside positionPlaying the ball after the ball has rebounded off the goal, the goalkeeper, or any opponent
Cardozo clearly was interfering with Spain's defenders

I got nothing against European teams genius, I'm European myself, my point is FIFA try and understand that one. GL in the future with your emotional wagers.

For me, was the correct decision. Cardozo jump in the ball, and he was offside.
Spain score their goal doing what they do better, passing.
I think that, maybe a tie game was a fair result, but soccer, for me, will never be a fair sport, because you can play better, create a lot of goals chance and in a counter-attack, the oposite team can score and you lose the game.
Soccer is a competence sport, in MY OPINION!

The ref had a tough call with the offside but Paraguay's penalty should have been taken again.
Paraguay were very unlucky in that game, they got the tactics right but just couldn't finish the chances.

The offside was the correct decision, it doesn't matter if he touches the ball or not he is involved in the play and not passive in the situation.
